Silk lucet cord heart on linen & handmade paper dyed with walnut
Heart made from silk lucet cord dyed with madder and couched on linen over handmade paper dyed with walnut husks. The background is handmade paper made from banana skin.
Lucets are found on several Viking sites and Vikings used lucets to make cord whilst linen was the most frequently used fibre by Vikings and silk was also commonly used.
